TANIA DE GROOT

A licensed Realtor in California since 1990, Tania DeGroot has experienced a wide variety of market conditions and knows the strategies to use in each.  Having grown up on Long Island, NY and lived in Massachusetts, Washington DC, and California, she is also very familiar with the nuances of moving as well as selecting the best home for your circumstances.  In short, she is mindful of your concerns and does all she can to help you achieve your goals.  Tania enjoys working with first-time buyers, move-up buyers, empty nesters, and has also had experience with probate and short sales during the 30+ years in this profession.  She is committed to providing the highest level of service to all of her clients.

Prior to earning her real estate license, Tania worked with architects and project managers in the building and furniture industry where she  developed a good sense of space planning.  Having a proactive approach to getting things done, as well as the Certified Home Marketing Specialist certification, makes her effective in preparing her clients' homes for sale.  In addition to her construction management background, she earned a 203k designation and can work with special financing for certain remodeling projects.  She believes that your home should be a reflection of who you are and her primary focus is to help you get what you want as efficiently as possible!

Tania has lived in the Bay Area since 1982, in San Francisco, Sausalito and the East Bay.  Her current home is in Orinda, and where she is active in several organizations and where her daughter graduated from high school.  She enjoys hiking, bicycling, traveling and wine tasting with her friends and family, as well as spending time with her pets and grandsons.
